Description
Humain Dev Systems is looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to build and own our automated test frameworks end-to-end, drive API and UI testing, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software across our products.
Responsibilities
- Design and own the test automation framework across the stack: API/integration tests against the Laravel endpoints and Playwright E2E tests using Playwright’s API-request context to combine backend setup/assertions with UI flows in a single suite.
- Automate the core end-to-end user flows
- Build regression coverage for data pipeline ingestion, sync, and update jobs, including data integrity checks that catch silent drift.
- Test external integrations with contract/mock strategies: Salesforce, Stripe, DocuSign, Postmark email, and Twilio SMS.
- Integrate tests into CI/CD and gate releases; make test results fast, reliable, and actionable (no flaky suites).
- Validate background jobs and queues idempotency, retries, batch processing, and failure handling.
- Own the defect lifecycle: reproduce, isolate to layer (data vs. code vs. integration), write clear repro steps, and verify fixes.
- Partner with backend/frontend engineers on testability, and define the QA standards, coverage targets, and release checklist for the Development team.
- Report quality metrics(coverage, escaped defects, flakiness, release readiness) to Development leadership.
Required qualifications
- 3+ years in QA automation, with senior-level ownership of a test framework end-to-end.
- Strong API test automation experience against REST backends; comfortable reading a PHP/Laravel codebase to understand what you’re testing (service-layer architecture, jobs, resources).
- Strong Playwright experience driving a React SPA end-to-end auth flows (OAuth/Passport-backed), role/permission-gated views, parallel execution, fixtures, network interception/mocking, trace/video artifacts on failure, and CI integration.
- CI/CD integration experience (GitHub Actions or similar) with parallelization and flake control.
- SQL and data validation skills to verify data correctness across large relational datasets.
- Strong debugging instinct: trace a failure through the full stack before filing it, and distinguish a data problem from a code problem.
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
